turkeys are getting fat/for yogis only

friends, tailors, have 3 big turkeys that have been getting fed nonstop for the last week. they are getting bigger and bigger. little do they know they will be part of the new years celebration-tandoored on new years. eat up, turkeys, enjoy those meals.

well, the tsunami death toll is fast climbing to 24,000 and twice as many are expected to die from flood related diseases. it's creepy to be so close to this gigantic disaster (although i'm sure the US isn't paying too much attention, after all, it's only asia). our beaches are closed 3 days so far and kovalam feels like a graveyard. more disasters, fault shifts and volcanic eruptions are predictided to follow soon. how will the US fight this NATURAL terrorism?? i did, however, get a great deal on silver and copper because of the desperation of the shopkeepers (hi jim and debi), not that i'm proud of that or anything. it's just a fact.

FOR YOGIS ONLY
*i was blatently hit in the head by a water bottle during pasasana yesterday by a girl who keeps stealing my mat space. no apology. cat fight or accident? she speaks no english so i'll just ignore her.
*if you know more about other people's yoga than your own, you are probably not doing yoga-many people performing gymnastics
*quote "you mind your mulhabanda and i'll mind mine"-sri k. pattabhi jois upon being asked if he taught muslims
*yoga is always one step forward and 2 steps back. just whenyou feel strong, next day you can be weak as an infant. such is the ebb and flow of life.
*yoga is the perfect mirror of life
*if you talk about your yogic "accomplishments", you will probably collapse and hurt yourself.
*if you buy into others competetion games, you WILL get hurt
*yoga is the cessation of the fluxuations of the mind-yoga sutras book 1
*"judge not lest you be judged"-bob marley and jesus christ
